Tea Time with Mama!

I am from the south and we love our ice sweet tea! Never and I mean never in my life did I think I would ever be a hot tea drinker. It wasn't going to happen- snub my nose in the air and purse my lips shut keep it away from me. Yuck! Then I started to get a cold and my husband convinced me to let him make me a cup of hot tea to soothe my throat and open up my nose. I agreed and with my heels dug into the ground ready to run the other way I took a sip of chamomile tea with honey and sugar. It was like a cloud that slowly and warmly surrounded my body from head to toe. AMAZING! I fell in love and we stocked up on all kinds of different teas. Now as a new tea drinker I was boiling water in a pot on the stove and pouring it into my mug over the sink so the water didn't splash anywhere else. It was a hassle and took up so much time! Especially if I got busy and couldn't get to it in time all of my water would be gone and with an infant who has her own schedule it was not working out for the tea. Thanks to Chefs Limited for sending me this gift of their Chefs Limited Tea Kettle I can now have my tea all day everyday. Purchase yours here - Amazon #Chefslimitedteakettle
The handle is special so you can just pick it up and the whistle is not loud or annoying and helps with that therapeutic feeling during tea time. I can easily pour it into my mug with one hand!

Now I just need to focus on organizing my tea to make it easier to choose one. With the day I have had out and about with pediatrician appt, shots, cats at the vet, Christmas shopping, and homeschool meetings I need Peppermint Tea with a tiny drop of honey.
The kids are napping so I will relax and read "Love That Boy.".
Enjoy the holidays and feel free to leave your favorite tea and book in the comments!

Laser Christmas Lights

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!
I am so ecstatic for this season as it is my favorite. There is nothing like snow on the ground, hot cocoa in your hand, family surrounding you, a Christmas tree, lights on the house, and lastly our elf on the shelf, Jose. We are getting there to complete the list. We do not have any snow yet; despite having cold weather it is not cold enough for snow. Without snow and needing the weather to be colder we are waiting for hot cocoa at that time. For now we do have our Christmas tree. lights outside, and Jose the elf.

This is our Wondershop 6ft prelit tree from Target. Of course decorated by my wonderful 8 and 9 yr old boys while my 1 month old daughter watched from her swing. I had the tree on blinking lights so that is why it only looks like 1 part is lit up. #tistheseason #Wondershop Buy yours here- Target
The lights on our house came as a gift from Baima Club. It is Blue/Green lights and has a 25 foot reach. They really set the mood as they make the grass, house, trees, and sky twinkle! The ones I have do not blink or change, but you can turn it so it can sit at a different angle as needed. Another thing I love about the lights is you can see them in the windows of your house on the inside. As I sit typing this from my living room I can see the lights in the kitchen window and it just puts a smile on my face. It took less than 2 minutes to put it together and stake it in the ground outside. #laserchristmaslights  Buy yours here- Amazon

Our family Elf on the Shelf is Jose. He generally comes the day after Thanksgiving and delivers a fill in the blank letter to carry back to Santa on what they did good this year and what they want for Christmas. To prevent the kids from going overboard he leaves 2 to 4 blanks for things they want. So far he has reminded us to hang the lights which I have not done yet..laziness and glad I didn't since we received the laser Christmas lights. Then he stole some of our cake mix and hid in the closet with a letter asking my 8 yr old what he wanted for a Birthday cake. #elfontheshelf #Josetheelf Adopt your elf here- Amazon
