How to start a secret sister trend?

A lot of womens groups have secret sister every Christmas time where it is kind of like drawing out of a hat. I have heard good and bad things come from women who have been involved in these groups. Those are little groups though all very close to home; what about starting one world wide?!

You can start your secret sister group today through social media. Here is how:

Step 1. Post a status on your social media page: 
Anyone interested in a Holiday Gift exchange? I don't care where you live - you are welcome to join the fun. I need 6 (or more) ladies of any age to participate in a secret sister gift exchange. You only have to buy ONE gift valued at $10 or more and send it to one secret sister and you will receive 6-36 in return!

Please don't ask to participate if you are not willing to spend the $10.

Step 2: With social media rules these days for how they view your posts to others not all of your friends may see this opportunity so you may want to send out a message to each of your female friends asking them if they have had the chance to view your post and if they would like to participate in the fun.

Step 3: Now you have ladies getting involved saying yes or i'm in! You can send them this private message to tell them how it works:

1) Send one gift, valued at least $10 to secret sister that is place NUMBER ONE below.

2) Remove secret sister's name from #1; then move secret sister #2 to that spot.

3) Add your name to #2 with your info.

4) Then send this info to 6 other ladies, with the updated name info

5) Copy the secret sister request that I posted on my wall, to your own wall.

If you cannot complete this within 1 week please notify me, as it isn't fair to the ladies who have participated and are waiting for their own gifts to arrive.

You can order directly from a web-based service (Amazon, or any other online shop) which saves a trip to the post office.

Soon you should receive 36 gifts! What a deal, 36 gifts for giving just one!

Be sure to include some information about yourself...some of your favorites.

Seldom does anyone drop out because it's so much fun to send a gift to someone you may or may not know...and of course it's fun to receive.

Then send to the 6 (or more!) people that respond to your post! Thanks a bunch!!

Step 4:  Once you have sent that email out to those that have agreed you can answer any questions if they have any. You may even want to wait and then send a follow up email to make sure they dont need any tips or help here is an example:

Just sending a fun follow up for my secret sisters! My secret sister "insert name" sent private messages to all of her female friends and had 22 join the secret sisters. I was one of them and I sent out private messages to my friends getting 23 to join the secret sisters. If you think about it -if all 22 of her friends get at least 22 to join then she is going to receive 484 gifts! WOW! It really is the season of giving always! If you need any hints on what to get for your 10.00 gift for her she loves Halloween and dark things she also has children and 2 foster babies. Anything will brighten her day. I hope as many of your friends join the secret sisters as well so that you receive just as many gifts as she does!

Step 5: Once you are certain at least 6 of your friends sent a gift then you did your part as a secret sister and you can sit back and wait for your gifts to roll in. If your 6 friends get 6 friends at least then over the next few weeks you should receive  36 gifts, but if your friends are overachievers like ours and you get 22 friends who get 22 friends then you should get 484 gifts yourself. What a blessing to be able to part of a sisterhood in giving!

Wedding Rings and Work

I have met so many men and women that do not wear wedding rings due to the type of work they do. One of those men being my own husband who deals with a lot of electrical work and it is dangerous to have metal around. Recently a co-worker told me about silicone wedding bands that she and her husband both wear and love. I looked into it and received a ring complimentary from OOMPH for testing their product.

To be honest at first we worried about the silicone causing sweat and rubbing blisters then also stinking. Once we received the ring we were glad that we had gone a size up as they do run a little small - he wears an 11.5 and the size 12 fits perfect. My husband has worn his ring for 2 days now and said he forgot he even had it on it is so comfortable. There has been no sweating, rubbing, or smell to it. I am just ecstatic that there is a ring out there made perfect for those that can't wear a metal ring for any reason. I even plan on ordering one myself for gardening, swimming, etc. that way I do not have to risk losing or breaking my ring set.

Shoes and Work!

I can't tell you how many times at work I just kick my shoes off. Nothing feels better than kicking those shoes off and stretching your toes and relaxing. Then comes the time you need to go to a meeting or walk across the room and need to put your shoes back on. I know I do not like that feeling of having to bend down under my desk to grab my shoes and then put them on before I get up. I received a 16 inch long handled shoe horn complimentary for product testing and have to tell you it helped me a lot. I just keep it stood up against the inside of my desk and when the time comes I just use it to pull my shoe to me and then slide my shoes on with ease. It has really helped a lot and I can't believe I didn't use it before!

18" Grill Brush with Scraper

October is one of the most perfect months to grill out! It is football season and the weather is beyond amazing sunny in the 70's with just enough wind to be comfortable. I was so excited that I received this product for testing as we were able to use it to clean off our grill that we used at our wedding reception. The handle is a great length to reach in there and use the scraper and bristles to clean it. I do recommend this 18" grill brush with scraper for yourself and as a gift item. Enjoy y'alls weekend!

Bamboo Crib Mattress is a Great Gift!

I received this bamboo crib mattress pad courtesy to product test. I have to say it is very soft and comfortable. This makes the perfect baby gift to a new mother as we know all new mommies can use extra crib mattresses, diapers, wipes, clothes, and towels!
